Planned operations (phases)

Well testing

Prior to exploitation, wells are tested to assess wellbore and reservoir properties such as permeability, reservoir pressure, reservoir limits and boundaries or productivity... The test consists in the monitoring and measurement of temperature and pressure response of the reservoir to changing production and injection conditions.

Exploration

Exploration is a phase of a geothermal project focused on prospecting. It is during this phase that different tools (logging, exploration drilling, geophysical acquisition, sampling, etc.) are used to characterize geothermal reservoirs, their geology, their structure, and thus identify the potential area that could be exploited for geothermal energy recovery. This phase can last for a few years. Exploration aims at identifying optimal conditions in terms of temperature, fluid circulation, and geology… to install a geothermal operation.
